The original one-page design lacked modern UI/UX, had poor information architecture, and wasn’t responsive. As the firm expanded, these issues necessitated a comprehensive redesign to enhance brand presentation and online presence.

I led the design of the main pages for ECLAT LAW FIRM. I focus on the interface design on Figma. I collaborated on the project with a senior UI/UX designer (Mila).

Through my involvement in this real-world project, I discerned that minor inconsistencies can significantly affect the overall user experience and aesthetics. Furthermore, every design choice is paramount—not only in ensuring user-friendliness but also in resonating with the client's brand vision and objectives.

I first identified key issues with the existing design. The customer interviews revealed that most users found the firm via social media or blog posts. This insight highlighted the need for a more intuitive user experience that made navigating and finding information for scheduling consultations easier. Based on this, I defined a clear information architecture with a sitemap to guide users efficiently.

Mood boards helped address the firm's previous lack of brand consistency during the process. With a defined visual language and structure, I crafted high-fidelity designs with clean layouts and seamless navigation to improve the user experience. Finally, I documented the design files in a developer-friendly format, ensuring the implementation stayed true to the design vision.

To create an atmosphere of reliability and trustworthiness, I researched competitors' websites and created a mood board as my design inspiration.

We created a comprehensive breakpoint specification to ensure the design closely aligns with our original vision throughout the development process.

"The padding here looks different from the other sections'; you should review it again." I did not define all the padding between texts at the beginning, resulting in inconsistent spacing across the website. Such inconsistencies, although minor, can significantly affect the overall user experience and aesthetics of the design. Consequently, I had to revisit my designs multiple times to ensure consistency in component padding, typography, and layout.

Effective communication with clients is crucial. In this project, the client wanted to use personal photos as avatars, but their varied backgrounds risked disrupting the professional tone. I created five mock-ups to balance their expectations with visual consistency. However, none of them met the client's expectations. We then dive deeper into the reason behind and ultimately change the avatar shape to minimize the impact of inconsistent colors.

While interning at Able Studio, I built a strong foundation in design principles and learned how to collaborate effectively with other designers and clients. I also strengthened my organizational and writing skills by regularly posting on Able's Medium blog. Working alongside senior designers really taught me a lot, and I feel very fortunate to have interned at Able Studio.
